The GE HTWP1400FWW is a discontinued / legacy Hotpoint top-load washer — no longer in production, but we still service it. An older-format Hotpoint washer still commonly found in the field — mechanical timer and simple relay controls mean most repairs are switches, belts, or the pump rather than electronics.
GE washers (GTW top-load family) with electronic controls read E codes: E22 (slow fill), E23 (slow drain), E30 (no signal from the drain pump), E42 (motor or inverter, often from overloading), E45 (door thinks it is locked), and E58 (main control). Dial-and-timer models carry no code and are diagnosed by symptom. We clear the drain path and test the inlet valve, door lock, and drive before fitting a genuine OEM part.
