The GE HTDX100EMWW is a discontinued / legacy Hotpoint Dura Drum electric dryer — no longer in production, but we still service it. An older-generation Hotpoint dryer still common in the field — timer switch, belt, and heating element are the usual wear parts.
GE dryers (GTD family) with electronic controls read E1 (thermistor failure), E2 (high-limit thermostat tripped or inlet thermistor short), and E3 (exhaust over-temperature, usually a blocked vent — clean the vent before further use). Timer-dial models carry no code. The most common cause of poor drying on any build is a lint-clogged vent, not a part, so we clear the vent path and test the heat circuit and sensors.
