The GE GFD65ESPVDS is a current GE ENERGY STAR smart front-load electric dryer with steam and Sanitize. Same GFD65 platform as its gas counterpart — thermistor failures (E1/E2) and a lint-clogged vent are the two most common root causes we test for first.

GE dryers (GTD family) with electronic controls read E1 (thermistor failure), E2 (high-limit thermostat tripped or inlet thermistor short), and E3 (exhaust over-temperature, usually a blocked vent — clean the vent before further use).
