The GE GDF520PGDCC is a current GE front control dishwasher. Front-control GE dishwashers use the same C1–C8 code family as top-control units — we always confirm the drain path and detergent cup before assuming an electronic problem.
GE dishwashers (GDT tall-tub family) report C codes: C1/C2/C3 (drain restriction or blockage), C4 (float or refilled twice after a power failure), C5 (pump-out too short), C6/C7 (water temperature or sensor), and C8 (detergent cup), plus PF (power failure), H2O (low water), and a leak alert (Leak Detected / 999).
