Reading the model and serial number
The rating plate is on the oven door frame, visible when the door is open. As with GE’s ranges, the model number’s letters mark capacity and finish per GE’s yearly Nomenclature Guide, while the serial’s first letter dates the month of manufacture and the second the year.
